Cardiac Solutions needed more control over its AED management system.
Cardiac Solutions' existing system was costly to license and limited the company's ability to provide a more cost-effective solution to customers. The team needed a custom, interactive, web-based AED program management system that could support inspections, consumables, responder training, early warnings, reminders, and customer program visibility without losing the functionality they already depended on.
The business problem was not simply, "Can we build a replacement system?"
It was: How do we replace a costly platform with a custom system that preserves critical functionality, improves the customer experience, and helps every AED program stay ready for rescue?
Cardiac Solutions did not need a generic asset tracker. They needed a custom platform built around the operational reality of AED program management, customer support, and emergency readiness.
AED programs depend on timely information and reliable follow-through.
AED program management is not just an administrative workflow. When an emergency happens, devices need to be inspected, consumables need to be current, responders need to be trained, and organizations need confidence that their program is ready.
For Cardiac Solutions, the right system could improve customer value while also reducing operating costs. By replacing a costly licensed platform with custom software, the company could create a more cost-effective solution for its customers and gain more control over future enhancements.
"A costly licensed platform limited Cardiac Solutions' ability to serve customers effectively and control the future of their product."
A custom web-based AED program management system built on KEYSYS' multi-tenant platform
KEYSYS worked with Cardiac Solutions to design and build a custom, interactive AED program management system using Microsoft C# .NET, Microsoft SQL Server, APIs, and KEYSYS' proprietary multi-tenant platform.
The project began with discovery and ideation sessions. KEYSYS interviewed super users of the existing system, gathered requirements, reviewed current functionality, and documented features to make sure the new platform would not lose critical capabilities. During ideation, super users also identified enhancements that could take Cardiac Solutions' product and service offering to the next level.
KEYSYS then customized its multi-tenant application platform to reduce development time and deliver value faster. The site used a simple, intuitive design to make user adoption easier and help Cardiac Solutions manage customer support more effectively.
- → Custom web-based AED program management system
- → Multi-tenant platform customized for Cardiac Solutions
- → Microsoft C# .NET and Microsoft SQL Server foundation
- → API support for system integration and extensibility
- → AED inspection tracking and program status visibility
- → Consumable update tracking and reminders
- → Training information access for volunteer responders
- → Early warnings and alerts for program updates
- → Simple interface designed for user adoption and customer support
From costly licensed software to a custom program management platform
KEYSYS interviewed super users, reviewed the existing system, and documented functionality to protect the workflows Cardiac Solutions already relied on.
KEYSYS adapted its proprietary multi-tenant platform to reduce development time and create a system tailored to Cardiac Solutions' AED program needs.
The application helps keep AEDs inspected, consumables current, responders informed, and customer programs properly managed.
Early warnings and reminders notify organizations when internal resources need updates on part or all of their AED program.
What once depended on a costly licensed system now runs through a custom platform designed around Cardiac Solutions' customers, support model, and long-term product vision.
Cardiac Solutions gained a more cost-effective platform for customer AED programs
The new custom application gives Cardiac Solutions a web-based system for managing AED programs while eliminating licensing costs tied to the existing system. The platform helps organizations maintain visibility into inspections, consumables, responder readiness, and program status, giving customers access to the information they need when they need it.
